QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in related subject from an accredited college or university, or valid teaching certificate.
Knowledge of curriculum and instructional theory.
Ability to communicate in English effectively both orally and in writing.
This position requires punctuality, as well as flexibility and adaptability. The ability to adjust to changing factors, conditions or environments is crucial to this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
Provide a learning environment that is student-centered and aligned with the school’s academic goals and objectives.
Maintain and provide progress-monitoring reports, benchmark data, and other student records as required by school guidelines.
Collaborate professionally and effectively with peers to develop, plan and implement best educational practices based on the needs of the students.
Attends and/ or participates in other activities as directed by the Administrator such as: faculty meetings (before or after school hours), open houses, and commencement exercises.
Culture and Character:
Develop and implement detailed plans, in keeping with school priorities and structures.
Choose instructional practices, compelling topics, and projects that promote character development, using the school’s integrated methodology.
Promote and participate positively in the culture of the school community.
Be willing and able to collaborate with peers in the development of curriculum and school structures.
Be willing and open to give and receive support from peers to improve teaching practices.
Leadership and School Improvement:
Make data driven decisions about what instruction will best support students.
Discuss assessment results openly with colleagues.
Use data to assess your own performance and set individual improvement goals.
Work with school leadership to evaluate school performance and set school improvement goals.
